A delegation of EU4Energy project experts and FMERI representatives visited municipalities in coal-rich regions for consultations and preparations for a just transition

In the period from October to December 2023, experts of the EU4Energy project and representatives of the Federal Ministry of Energy, Mining and Industry visited municipalities in regions rich in coal and at meetings with local administration, after presenting the basic principles of a just transition, talked with mayors, and their teams about the current economic situation in each municipality, as well as the development potential of those municipalities, with the aim of timely planning and initiating activities that will enable a just transition.

The aforementioned delegation visited the following municipalities: Breza, Kakanj, Gornji Vakuf-Uskoplje, Tuzla, Lukavac, Banovici, Zivinice, Zenica and Travnik-Bila.
