The EU4Energy project supported the organization of the Sarajevo Energy and Climate Week by preparing two panels on the following topics:
– “Aligning with the EU Carbon Emission Trading Scheme in the Region.” The panel was moderated by Dr. Janez Kopač, Deputy Team Leader – Senior Energy Expert at the EU4Energy project; – “Mandatory Oil Reserves: Cost or Security?” The panel was moderated by Dr. Branislava Lepotić-Kovačević, Senior Energy Law Expert at the EU4Energy project.
EU4Energy experts also participated in the following panels:
– Dr. Corina Murafa, Advisor on Just Transition, participated in the panel “Can and Will Western Balkans Economies Learn from their EU Colleagues When it Comes to Energy Transition and Turning it into a Just Transition?”- WIlliam L’Heude, Deputy Head of Climate Department at the Ministry of Economy, Finance, and Recovery of France, participated in the panel “The Impact of Emission Trading Systems and Carbon Border Adjustment Mechanisms on Electricity Systems”- Isidora Mičić, Senior Advisor for Market Integration at Nord Pool, participated in the panel “Electricity Market Liberalization, New Market Models Supporting Supply Security and Intensive Renewable Energy Development”
– Prof. Dr. Sanda Midžić Kurtagić delivered the opening lecture and moderated the panel “Circular Economy Development.”
– Zoran Bogunović, EU4Energy Public Information and Involvement Expert, participated in the panel “Energy Transition: Sustainability, Opportunities, and Challenges.”
