CBAM in BiH: Insights and Perspectives of the Business Community

The EU in BiH and EU4Energy organized a panel-discussion on the topic “CBAM in BiH: Insights and perspectives of the business community” in the Europe House today. The representatives of companies from Bosnia and Herzegovina that are already facing the application of CBAM took part in the panel: Almir Bajtarević from Heidelberg Materials / Tvornica cementa Kakanj, Envera Garić from Stamen Modules, as well as Mirsad Jašarspahić, president of the FBiH Chamber of Commerce. The goal of the discussion was to provide companies from Bosnia and Herzegovina with the opportunity to highlight the challenges and potential problems they face through the current application of CBAM. The conversation also showed that companies that operate responsibly towards environmental protection and take care of energy efficiency are increasingly recognizing the new business opportunities that this mechanism brings.
