Five-day study visit of representatives of BiH institutions to Spain, organized by the EU4Energy project
As part of its activities to support the energy sector in BiH, for its successful energy transition, the EU4Energy project has from May 22 to 30, 2025. organized a five-day study visit to Spain, during which a delegation of representatives of BiH institutions visited Spanish institutions, agencies, research centers, institutes, universities, as well as leading world companies in the field of renewable energy:
- Ministry for Environmental Transition and Demographic Challenges (MITECO) – the Spanish ministry responsible for energy transition;
- Asociación Empresarial Eólica – Spanish Wind Energy Association (EEA);
- Instituto para la Diversificación y Ahorro de la Energía – Institute for Energy Saving (IDAE);
- Acciona Energía – the world’s leading 100% renewable energy company;
- Endesa, S.A. – Spanish multinational company for electricity supply;
- Siemens Gamesa Renewable Energy, S.A. – Spanish-German company for wind energy;
- Centro de Investigaciones Energéticas, Medioambientales y Tecnológicas – Center for Energy, Environment and Technological Research (CIEMAT);
- CNH2 – Green Hydrogen Research Center;
- Universidad Politécnica de Madrid – Polytechnic University of Madrid.
The experiences gained from the study visit to Spain, as well as the established international contacts, will represent important information for the representatives of BiH institutions in their further work on planning and implementing energy transition activities in BiH.
