EU4Energy organised 6 trainings on CBAM in December 2023 and January 2024
In December 2023 and January 2024 EU4Enery project has organised in cooperation with Foreign Trade Chamber of Bosnia and Herzegovina 6 Carbon Border Adjustment Mechanism (CBAM) trainings for the industry sector companies in Bosnia and Herzegovina.
The objectives of the training were as follows:
- Enhancing knowledge of the companies about CBAM, providing in-depth insights into the CBAM mechanism, its implications, and the reporting requirements specific to each industry.
- Enhancing technical skills, providing practical training on data collection, emission calculations, and reporting methodologies tailored to individual industry needs.
- Increase understanding of the companies on policy compliance, increasing the participants’ understanding of the regulatory framework, enabling them to align their reporting with CBAM requirements effectively.
The main target of the trainings was to provide urgent support to the companies from BiH which have faced the close deadline of January 31, 2024 to deliver their first quartal reports for the period October-December 2023 on their CO 2 emissions for the purpose of CBAM reporting. The trainings were held in the cities of: Sarajevo, Banja Luka, Mostar, Zenica, Tuzla and Tesanj.
